We Make Brands More Distinctive

Inside Culture, a small agency dedicated to internal culture and strategy, was started by Ritchie Emslie.

Here’s why.

In 2010, Ritchie was helping ad agencies. It went well. Their clients always wanted him in the room and the agencies kept asking for more. Can you figure out the brand promise? Check. A month later: Can you do a brand architecture? Check. A month later: Can you write the marcom plan?

Good stuff. But something didn’t feel right.

Training with JWT Europe’s pioneer (at Syracuse University), working with the strategist that brought the discipline to N.A. (at Fallon Minneapolis), and decades of experience, exclusively as a strategist, will teach you the value of consistency.

Start and stop strategy might be good for managing the bottom line, but it’s not good for efficiency or efficacy. And that’s not good for marketers.

The alternative is Inside Culture.

We are dedicated to delivering consistent strategy throughout the entire process, including creative development. This gives underserved marketers access to in-house, far-reaching expertise — brand strategy, research design, brand architecture, internal communication, connection and marcom planning.

We are a small group of strategists, account managers and creative directors, with access to more collaborators when needed.

When we present work, our clients often joke: We can’t tell who’s the strategist, who’s the account manager, and who’s the creative director.

Just as it should be.
